If you are looking for a place to camp in TN, it doesn't get any better than this! I stopped in on a ride from San Angelo TX to the VA/TN line based on Google reviews and what Mary had to say on the campground voicemail message. I'm glad I did. These reviews are spot on!
Coleman, Mary, and the crew all made me feel INSTANTLY at home. These people and the staff: Tim, Tina, Tyler, and Halen, and others are among the nicest people I've ever met. I was alone and they actually invited me to sit with them and even eat with them after they'd been working all day. They spent the evening passing a guitar around singing (and every single one of em was extremely talented) and just talking. By the end of the evening I didn't want to leave and couldn't wait to come back!
I can't impress upon you how truly amazing my stay was. The river is beautiful, the grounds are very safe and meticulously maintained. They have a spring fed shower house (brr), a stage for events, and a row of portable toilets. It's primitive camping only with shaded sites and plenty of trees for hammocks and good smooth ground for tents. First come first serve; no reservations, and firewood is available for purchase.

Plenty of camp sites, and the people who run it are awesome! I ran out of gas and they drove me to the gas station to get more. Very nice and helpful!
