I was down in Lewisburg on a business trip. It helped that the hotel was on the main road. The rooms were well kept. It was nice to jump into their pool after a long work day. I enjoued a quiet breakfast the next morning. The biscuits were soft and the coffee was hot.
So far our stay has been nice so far...... other than there not being a bible in our room. VERY Disappointing
Staff? Modest and friendly.
Fancy? No.
Cleanliness? Fine. Nothing suspect, and I'm still bug free a month after my visit, so I think it checks out.
Stayed in room 107. Was scheduled to be there 5 days. After 2nd day noticed bites on my legs and thought bedbugs maybe. Inspected room and no sign of em. Checked out early on the 3rd day and transferred to a different hotel. Bites got worse. You guessed it... scabies. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. My company''s travel agency even removed it from their list of hotels. Would not recommend to anyone!
Comfy? Yes.
Older facility, rooms were tidy but not very clean. Dirty walls, cobwebs in every corner, carpet sticky when walked on with bare feet. The hot breakfast consisted of microwaved eggs, hard biscuits and old gravy. The coffee was surprisingly good and the kids loved the pool. Have been to Walking Horse several times and it keeps getting worse each time. I think these 5 days we stayed will be our last.
A hell of a deal, especially in this neck of the woods.
